Kalben
KALBEN
One of the most powerful voices in the Turkish alternative music scene, Kalben invites her audience on an emotional journey through her sincere lyrics and heartfelt performances. With beloved songs such as “Sadece”, “Haydi Söyle”, “Saçların”, and “Perişan”, she quickly won the hearts of a wide audience.
Known for her distinctive style, captivating stage presence, and soulful storytelling, Kalben conveys the purest and most profound form of music to her listeners.
This year at Back in Town Festival, Kalben will once again transform the stage into pure magic with her energy that perfectly captures the festival spirit. With her intimate connection to her guitar, heartfelt performance, and unforgettable repertoire, she offers not just a concert — but a warm, emotional, and liberating experience.
SEGA BODEGA
Chilean-Irish producer, singer, DJ, and songwriter Sega Bodega stands out in the experimental electronic scene with his futuristic fusion of UK bass, trip-hop, and avant-garde electronic sounds.
As one of the founders of the NUXXE collective, he has collaborated on boundary-pushing creative projects and gained global recognition after his music was featured in Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty campaigns.
Sega Bodega is set to deliver an electrifying performance at Back in Town Festival on October 26.
Maryam Saleh & Zeid Hamdan
As one of the most distinctive duos in the Arab alternative music scene, Maryam Saleh & Zeid Hamdan seamlessly merge the traditional with the modern. Saleh’s powerful, emotional, and often political vocals blend with Hamdan’s productions that fuse electronic beats, trip-hop rhythms, punk, and folk, creating a unique musical identity.
Their project Halawella pays homage to Egypt’s legendary protest music icons Sheikh Imam and Ahmed Fouad Negm, reviving their legacy with a bold and contemporary sound.
Maryam Saleh, a pioneer of Egypt’s alternative scene, constantly pushes artistic boundaries as a singer, composer, and actor, while Zeid Hamdan — whose journey began with Soapkills — is recognized as one of the key figures shaping the Middle Eastern independent music movement.
Together, they present a hypnotic, energetic, and universal sonic world, blending electronic layers with Arabic folk and shaabi traditions. Their festival performance promises an unforgettable experience — both rooted in heritage and forward-looking — for fans of world music, indie, and experimental sounds.
Dilhan Şeşen
Blending modern folk, alternative rock, and indie tones with subtle electronic elements, Dilhan Şeşen captivates listeners with her poetic lyrics, strong vocals, and compelling stage presence. Her performances are a balanced fusion of acoustic warmth and electronic textures, creating intimate yet powerful moments.
Her songs carry a mix of emotion, melancholy, and hope. In 2023, she reached a wider audience with her single “Şeker”, written and composed by Mabel Matiz, receiving great acclaim.
Now, she joins the Back in Town Festival main stage, ready to share her distinctive musical journey.
Ece Özel
Unique, fluid, and meticulously crafted transitions — straight from Istanbul.
DJ Ece Özel, hailing from a city where the best and worst collide, reflects this beautiful chaos and balance in her musical selections. Growing up in the city’s vibrant punk scene before embracing electronic music, her sets are shaped by her eclectic background.
Whether performing a mixtape or a live DJ set, her unpredictable, fresh, and mystical sound takes listeners on transcendent musical journeys — dark yet radiant, chaotic yet perfectly in tune. Ece Özel’s performances are a reflection of Istanbul itself: raw, emotional, and ever-evolving.
