Voliaaa Soundsystem’s infectious joy and groove train is approaching Istanbul! Known for its Afro Disco bangers, Voilaaa is built around Bruno “Patchworks” Hovart from Lyon, who can’t stop making people dance. The French producer has projects like The Dynamics, Taggy Matcher and Mr President that explore different styles, but with Voilaaa, he returns to his first love and specialty, disco music, staring this time at the African and Caribbean influences. As everywhere in the 1970s and 1980s, funk and disco movements were extremely influential in these regions, blending in a visceral and natural fashion. Aiming to find back this energy and specific sound, Patchworks quickly began producing a few tracks. Surrounded by a very dynamic music scene with many artists of African origins, Patchworks decided to work with local singers. Having released three albums to date, On Te L’Avait Dit (2015), Des Promesses (2017) and Voiciii (2021), the producer continues to pay tributes to major artists of the African sound like Fela Kuti and Manu Dibango. Touring the world at full speed as Voilaaa Soundsystem, he delivers a message of infectious joy and groove.
