Having become one of the most intriguing bands of the last decade, DIIV creates a unique sonic world with intricately crafted melodies, hypnotic guitar layers, and an intense atmosphere. Compared to legends like My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, and Smashing Pumpkins, the band continually expands its sound palette and has managed to establish a distinctive aesthetic both in the studio and on stage.
DIIV gained major attention with their debut album Oshin released in 2012, and later took listeners on a deep, dreamy, and at times, intense journey with Is the Is Are (2016) and Deceiver (2019). Their latest album, Frog in Boiling Water (2024), stands out as one of the band's darkest and most captivating works to date. The album explores the collapse of the modern world and individual turmoil, and has been widely praised for its hypnotic guitar textures and intense atmosphere.
