Intro

ISLANDMAN

Born from the musical dreams of Istanbul based musician/producer Tolga Böyük, Islandman represents a fiction character, a music persona, a dreamer composing the stories of a non -existing place. Band performs on stage as an electro-acoustic live trio forma: a unique mix of mellow electronic structures & dance beats with spacey live guitars, backed up by shamanic rhythms.

The mixing idea during the record sessions or in live performances is to bring Turkish Psychedelia or an African roots music reef together with a feeling of the electric universe. The power of the band comes from their perfect balance of electronic structures and acoustical harmonies.

İstanbul merkezli müzisyen/prodüktör Tolga Büyük'ün müzikal hayallerinden doğan Islandman; bir kurgusal karakteri, bir hayalperesti, bir personayı temsil eder ve gerçekte var olmayan bir yerin hikayelerini besteliyor. Grup, sahnede elektro-akustik formatta kurguladığı performanslarını hafif elektronik alt yapılar ve canlı gitarla bir araya getirip benzersiz şamanik ritimlerle destekliyor.

Kayıt seansları sırasında veya canlı performanslarda bu toprakların saykodelik müziğini Afrika müziğiyle birleştirmeyi amaçlayan grubun gücü, elektronik yapıların ve akustik harmonilerin mükemmel dengelemesinden gelir.

CİHANGİR ASLAN

Born in 1987, Cihangir Aslan is an Istanbul based electronic musician. Further work was inspired by experimental, minimal and ethnic tunes. His work focused on experiencing the physical field by combining it with audio - visual performances.

1987 doğumlu Cihangir Aslan, İstanbul merkezli bir elektronik müzik sanatçısı. Üretimlerinde deneysel, minimal ve etnik melodilerden ilham alarak dinleyicilerini fiziksel alanı görsel-işitsel performanslarla birleştirip hem göze hem de kulağa hitap eden bir deneyim yaşatmayı amaçlamaktadır.
