On May 30th, 2025, Kastel reopens its stage, echoing the international voice of electronic music.Located in the heart of Istanbul, Kastel blends its historic architecture with a powerful sound system, where frequencies reflect off ancient stone walls. In this space where every night speaks its own language, music isn’t just played—it’s deeply felt. This time, the atmosphere fuses with the rising pulse of Afro-tech.
Shimza stands as one of the leading global figures in Afro-house and techno. From unforgettable sets at Boiler Room Johannesburg and RESISTANCE Cape Town to appearances in New York, Ibiza, and Berlin, his presence on the international stage is undeniable. He’s performed alongside Luciano at Destino Ibiza and Guy Gerber at RUMORS, and paid homage to Nelson Mandela with a historic performance on Robben Island. Through his visionary platform KUNYE, Shimza showcases young South African talent to the world. Now, for the first time in Istanbul, he takes the Kastel stage, presented by Groove Hive.
