Intro

Sound of Utopia is a Berlin-based collective that has been curating events across different cities and concepts for years, with a strong focus on art, music, and conscious living.

Their journey in Turkey began five years ago with a retreat-style festival in Fethiye. Since then, Sound of Utopia has grown into a deeply rooted presence in the country, hosting acclaimed artists such as Âme Live / Frank Wiedemann, Jerome Sydenham, Mimi Love, Beretta, Zenta Skai, Cook Strummer (Live), Electronic Elephant, Joséphine De Retour, Los Cabra (Live), and Marvin Jam.

Tonight, Sound of Utopia returns to one of Istanbul’s most iconic club stages: Kastel. Taking the spotlight is Cook Strummer, a Belgian-born artist based in Berlin. Known for his hybrid live performances, Strummer blends organic and electronic elements—drum machines, guitars, and synthesizers—to create a signature groove. As part of Get Physical Music, he’s released hits like Rising and Atmosphere, contributing to Berlin’s thriving house music scene. A beloved producer, DJ, and vocalist, Strummer has played countless sold-out shows and now brings his sexy grooves and live vocals to Istanbul before embarking on his European tour.

Joining him are familiar faces from the Utopia stage: Meri, Childplay, and Övet.
Meri—co-organizer and long-time resident—has performed at every Utopia festival and showcase, known for her groovy, storytelling sets. What story will she tell this time?
Övet opens the night, setting the tone with his signature style that’s shaped the Utopia experience since 2023. Fu, a standout local talent, joins Utopia for the first time right after Cook’s set. We’re excited to welcome him into the fold and hope to see him representing on international stages soon.
Finally, Childplay closes the night. A highlight from last year’s Utopia stage, he famously picked up the decks right after Âme and kept the magic alive until the morning light.
