Manchester’s dark post-punk, rock, and jazz band Maruja is performing live at Blind for the first time in Istanbul.
Supported by renowned institutions such as Glastonbury, NME, SoYoung Magazine, and BBC 6 Radio Music, Maruja is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the most exciting live acts in the UK underground scene. Their debut Istanbul concert will take place on September 27th at Blind, the newest live music venue in Asmalımescit. Maruja’s wild fusion of punk, harsh noise, and cosmic jazz sets them apart as one of the most thrilling new performances.
Maruja’s debut EP 'Knocknarea' was named the number 1 EP of the year on RateYourMusic. Renowned music critic Anthony Fantano included it among the Top 3 EPs of 2023. Their latest EP 'Connla’s Well', released as a collection of 5 tracks, has also garnered significant attention.
