Intro
NOORIYAHUnmistakably, Nooriyah has paved her own lane when it comes to dance music. Connecting dots between diverse global music cultures; Nooriyah has made it her focus to blur those same lines, focusing on creating vivid musical diversity in her work without being told she can’t merge those vast musical communities. Born in Saudi Arabia, raised in Japan and now based in the UK, Nooriyah, known for her work as DJ, audio producer and presenter, has spent the past decade championing sounds of the diaspora. Founding SWANA focused collaborative in London ‘Middle of Nowhere’ which went on to host her debut Boiler Room—achieving over 3,000,000 streams since.
Since her emergence into dance music, Nooriyah has gained international acclaim and performed at venues and festivals globally such as Glastonbury, Nitsa and sold out her headline shows in London at KOKO, EartH, Jazz Cafe and Colour Factory. As well as her debut European headline tour Middle of Everywhere. Nooriyah has also produced work for BBC 4 and continues to build upon her deep musical knowledge with other audio- visual projects, including work within soundtracks for film and tv. It is no surprise that Nooriyah has built a following that not only celebrates what she is trying to create, but wishes to build it with her.
MEHMET ASLAN
Mehmet Aslan, a Swiss-born DJ and producer of Turkish descent, stands out in the world of music for his eclectic taste and unique identity. Raised on Turkish music, he delved deep into record collecting during his teenage years, blending house and techno with offbeat sounds from his childhood. Aslan's risk-taking approach and curiosity led to a celebrated residency at Basel's Hinterhof club and releases on labels like Huntleys & Palmers and Planisphere. His music, characterized by sophisticated psychedelia and minimalism, has been featured in acclaimed series like HBO's 'The New Pope'. Aslan's radio show, 'Music For Books', on Worldwide FM, explores the relationship between literature and sound, reflecting his passion for storytelling across different mediums. Whether in the DJ booth or on the airwaves, Aslan continues to weave a distinct musical tapestry, inviting listeners to get lost in his world.
Rules
-The event is for participants aged 18 and over.-It is forbidden to bring food and beverages, cutting, piercing or flammable tools into the event area.
-Event participants accept that photo & video shooting will be done in the event area.
-It is forbidden to bring professional video recording devices and shooting unless there is written permission.
It is expected to take care not to shoot with non-professional devices that may disturb other guests and performing artists and violate the privacy of their private life. Flash photography is strictly prohibited.
-The organisation and venue authorities have the right not to allow people they do not deem appropriate to the event and backstage area.
-Particular attention is paid to the balance in the number of men and women, attitude, style, clothing and general suitability, and entry may not be possible for these and similar reasons. This is entirely at the discretion of the door. The decision of our gate is final and valid under all circumstances.
-Purchased tickets cannot be refunded, cancelled or exchanged.
-The right to use the photographs and video footage of the participants in the event in promotional materials belongs to the organiser and the participant accepts the use of this right by participating in the event.
