Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, Ymir has always had a passion for expressing his deepest thoughts and emotions through the use of various mediums. After meeting Cem Salman, the production manager of Turkey’s most prominent electronic music radio station FG 93.8, he was inspired to start DJ’ing as a way to share his state of mind with others by creating melancholic and deep sets. Passionate for exploring dark and gritty sounds, Ymir’s end goal with his music is to connect with like minded people from around the world and create a zone of empathy free from depression and desolation.
