Marc DePulse
“I don ́t specify my music. I simply play and produce what I love.”
And that's what Marcel Sterling alias Marc DePulse wants to tell us with his releases and podcasts: there is no box into which you must fit in because you are free in your mind to do whatever you love. Being real, being authentic, being a full time music lover. That means: go to bed and wake up with only music in your head!
Whoever shed some tears while listening to emotional music can relate to what Marc is trying to achieve. It has to be “music to remember” and make a big impact. And that could be a melody, a baseline, steady percussion or strong vocals. Marc has already connected a lot of that love with his music. In almost two decades represented by the strongest labels (200+ releases) and performing on the biggest international stages, Marc has established as a unique producer and DJ.
Murat Uncuoglu (FG 93.7, Isolate, TR)
With a love for music and technology, the decision to pursue a career in electronic music was not too difficult. Applying it to a traditional society, however, was the real challenge.
After completing high school, Uncuoglu started working at CD LAND, importing foreign LPs and the first CDs to Istanbul. Collecting a vast knowledge of the current dance music, he was approached with offers to DJ at private parties. In 1987, he began accepting the offers, and started his DJ’ing career. Soon his first residency, at Bodrum Hadigari, followed.
Uncuoglu’s career took a professional turn when his success at Hadigari caught the attention of the owner of Pasha Istanbul and he was immediately recruited to the club. Before long, his name became simultaneous with Pasha as he transformed the club’s.
Alican (FG 93.7, Isolate, TR)
In 2003 Alican had a chance to meet Murat Uncuoglu, probably Turkey's strongest dj and producer. He gave Murat some of his music, he thoroughly enjoyed it, citing him as among some of the strongest new talents around the Turkish electronica scene, and eventually they got to work together in the studio. Alican's tracks has been featured on labels like Get Physical, Global Underground, Vapour and many more.
