Mona Lee brings an original performance, spicing up her DJ sets with live vocals. From disco to disco and house music of all genres, that’s what she serves. Her DJ sets are recognizable by funky bass lines, percussive rhythms and uplifting vocals. Her definition of house music? When it comes from the soul, you’ll feel it. In 2022 her first release “Joyful life” came out with Kerri Chandler on his new album “Spaces & Places”, that got nominated as best album of the year by MixMag. A recent release “Be Yourself” with Romain is following up on the US collabs, which came out in June ‘23. It’s crystal clear that Mona got inspired by soulful vocalists such as Robert Owens, CeCe Peniston, Crystal Waters, Barbara Tucker, Virginia or Lady Linn from FCL and the Belgian label We Play House Recordings. Her first track ever, “Don’t Get Around”, got released on the WPH label, together with WLC & Metrobox Where could you catch Mona Lee playing mostly? She’s playing frequently as a resident at Drop (Barcelona) and Curfew (Belgium), 2 proper party concepts that stand for quality house & disco line-ups. She had a residency at the club Cova Santa (Ibiza) during the summer of 2022, she played Tomorrowland (Belgium) several times and is crossing international borders to play clubs like DJOON (Paris), Destino Pacha (Ibiza), Kick Club (Tbilisi), Kompass (Ghent), Larm (Budapest), Macarena Club (Barcelona), Nitsa (Barcelona), The Lofts (Newcastle) or Terrrazza (Barcelona).
