It's almost impossible to discuss the evolution and spread of electronic music culture in Istanbul without mentioning his name at least once. As one of the longest-active DJs still performing today and a cornerstone of Istanbul's alternative nightlife scene, DJ U.F.U.K has been making waves throughout Turkey since the early 1990s. Regularly performing at "2019"—the award-winning best underground nightclub in Europe at the time—DJ U.F.U.K showcased his skills to an international audience, further spreading the word about his talents and building a reputation as a name to watch. After being invited to play at prestigious nightclubs from around the world – including Club Roxy, Waakzamheid, Club Nikis, and Marcanti Plaza, U.F.U.K began to highlight his talent in production, creating hits like "Gazla" with renowned percussionist Ates Tezer. Throughout his storied career, U.F.U.K has shared the stage with legends such as Carl Cox, Derrick May, Stacey Pullen, Masters At Work, Frankie Knuckles, Fatboy Slim, Derrick Carter, Armand Van Helden, and Joe Claussell. Today, as a founding member of Underground Boutique, DJ U.F.U.K looks forward to guiding those interested in capturing and revitalizing the essence of electronic music in Istanbul.
