Mr. Sür believes in the uniting power of music and dance.
Since 2007 he’s professionally interested in sharing sounds with music heads.
His sets have influences from detroit techno to italo disco, from ghetto-electro to chicago house or synth-pop, depending on the platform and the mood. But let’s be honest, he doesn’t care about genres and norms as long as the musicis good.
He’s part of the core team of uniquie playgrounds of Istanbul, Wake Up Call and Suma Beach since 2012 as; resident DJ, poster designer, booker, night manager, text editor, idea builder… (zZz) He appreciates the support and the love from these two collectives since day one.
Meanwhile, he quit his PHD in Media Studies, as he prefers loud dance floors –no offense- instead of a quite library. It was tough, but a good decision at the end, which gave him time to focus on music on a professional level. He’s one of the creators of original queer party series in Istanbul; TUTTIFRUTTI, XES and Come To Mama!
Currently, you may see him playing at many ‘music matters’ parties happening in all around the world.
Mr. Sür also performs as Sister Sür, Mistress Sür or Mama Sürro in the booth. She likes listening to music constantly. She also likes exploring and thinking about ‘things’.
