GoldLink started his music career under his birth name, D'Anthony Carlos, and began releasing free tracks on SoundCloud as GoldLink in 2013. In 2014, he released his mixtape The God Complex, which was widely praised by various publications as one of the best projects of the year. In 2015, GoldLink began collaborating with producer Rick Rubin and released the mixtape After That, We Didn’t Talk. He was also named to XXL’s Freshman Class. In 2016, he signed with RCA Records and released the single Fall In Love. That same year, his song Crew achieved commercial success, reaching #45 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning six-times platinum certification, and receiving a Grammy nomination.
