Can Bonomo

About

In addition to his musical career, Can Bonomo has works in various art forms, including poetry books and illustration projects. He began playing guitar at the age of eight. Born in 1987 in İzmir, Bonomo continues his work in Istanbul, one of his greatest inspirations. He released his debut album Meczup in 2011 and represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Love Me Back just before the release of his second album. After the albums Aşktan ve Gariplikten (2012), Bulunmam Gerek (2014), and Kâinat Sustu (2017), his fifth album Ruhum Bela was released in April 2018. Alongside his music career, he has published three poetry books: Delirmek Belirmektir (2013), Şu Sevdalar Tevatürü (2016), and Parya Koma (2018), which earned him a Jury Special Award at the Yunus Emre Poetry Competition. He also contributes as a writer to various literary magazines.
