Since 1995, Kaan Düzarat has been involved in radio broadcasting and DJing. In 2003, with the launch of Dinamo 103.8FM in Istanbul, he took his passion to a different level. Thanks to his interest in music production, he supported his DJing with his own produced tracks. His pieces have appeared on the playlists of notable artists such as Jamie XX, Seth Troxler, Craig Richards, and Laurent Garnier, and have found a place on radio stations and stages around the world. His tracks have been released by labels like Only Records, Reckless Republic, Pastamusik, Nublu, Petra, Stereo Ferment, and Hard Fist. Through the FOC Edits project, he has edited tracks predominantly produced in Turkey during the 70s and 80s for his sets. Some of these edits were released on vinyl through Disco Hamam and Ostra Discos. He has prepared remixes for artists such as Athena, Mor ve Ötesi, Gaye Su Akyol, Candan Erçetin, Nil İpek, Mabel Matiz, Kalben, Hediye Güven, Melis Güven, and İlhan Erşahin. In addition to clubs like Crystal, Otto, and Minimüzikhol in Istanbul, he has regularly performed in centers such as Izmir, Ankara, Eskişehir, Çeşme, and Bodrum. He hosted events like Together at Crystal, Salı Sallanır at Küçük Otto, and Vesvese'li Perşembe nights at Minimüzikhol. He has shared the booth with names like Dez Andres, Moodymann, Daniel Bortz, Francois K, Locodice, Martin Buttrich, Carl Craig, Alex Gopher, Seth Troxler, Nicolas Jaar, Darkside, Move D, Maayan Nidam, Soulphiction, Acid Pauli, Kalabrese, Mike Huckaby, Kyle Hall, Marcellus Pittmann, and Eddie C. Kaan shares his music across a wide spectrum, from House to Techno, Jazz to Folk, and Disco to Electro, performing on stages like Boilerroom, Salon Zur Wilden Renate, Galerie Kurzweil, Rote Sonne, Katerblau, Le Sucre, Southern Soul, Nuit Sonores, Zukunft, Kaus, Razzmatazz, Kasheme, Bozcada Jazz Festival, Cappadox, and Sonar Festival. He has also curated event series such as Orange Date, Kırım Kilisesi Concerts, and Salı Sallanır. These events have hosted various pioneers from different music genres, including Darkside, Nicolas Jaar, Gigi Masin, Murcof, Francois K, Marcellus Pittman, Seth Troxler, Yussef Kamaal, and Gökçen Kaynatan. Established in 2010 as an umbrella organization for event series and radio programs, Vesvese expanded in 2019 to become "Vesvese Records," releasing Gaye Su Akyol's 18-track remix album "Remiks İmparatorluğu." Kaan studied Sociology and Music at Bilgi University and founded his own music studio and company in 2008. He has produced jingles, film scores, and sound designs, and continues to create for many brands. In 2013, he participated in the Red Bull Music Academy held in New York. In 2014, he launched Analog Kültür, a record store and music studio located in Galata, Istanbul, which is still operational. With the free improvisation group Analog Kültür Experiment, he has performed at various festivals, featuring guest artists like Korhan Futacı, Tolga Zafer Özdemir, Engin Recepoğulları, and Deniz Mahir Kartal. From 2019 to 2023, he worked with the band Lalalar, contributing to their debut album "Bi Cinnete Bakar," and performed with the group at various European festivals and clubs. He continues to be active in various music-centered fields, including DJing, music production, radio programming, and providing music consultancy and direction for events, venues, and brands.
