Pioneers and legends, innovators and modern icons are coming together at Sónar Istanbul 2025 this May, with the support of %100 Music. The music program of the festival, taking place on May 9 and 10 at Zorlu PSM, has been finalized. The Chemical Brothers will deliver an energetic and unforgettable DJ set, continuing their decades-long legacy of redefining dance music. Richie Hawtin will bring his groundbreaking live performance DEX EFX X0X, a return to the roots of electronic music, to Istanbul following its acclaimed premiere at Sónar Barcelona last year. These two pioneers are already setting the tone for the boundary-pushing energy of Sónar Istanbul 2025. One of the most creative names in contemporary electronic music, Jamie xx, will meet his fans in Istanbul. As a founding member of The xx, Jamie gained global recognition with the Mercury Prize-winning album xx and his acclaimed solo project In Colour. Having expanded his musical vision through productions with artists like Florence + the Machine, Drake, Adele, and Alicia Keys, he continues to challenge the limits of music. Known for the emotional and rhythmic depth of his musical journey, Jamie xx promises an unforgettable night for Istanbul’s audience. Joining them are bold international and local stars who push the boundaries of electronic music. Avant-garde pioneer Actress will take the stage, while plus44Kaligula adds a dark and theatrical energy to the lineup. Audiovisual projects are also in the spotlight this year: Sphaîra by Sara Persico & Mika Oki offers an atmospheric experience inspired by a brutalist theater in Tripoli, and In uno spazio immenso, the collaboration between Grand River and Abul Mogard, creates a timeless ambient universe. With Jersey’s explosive energy, Marie Davidson’s powerful live set, and a strong presence of local underground talent, the festival’s rhythm will never falter. Modeselektor and Kettama b2b Special Request lead the DJ sets, while BASHKKA makes a powerful return to Istanbul’s underground scene. Rising UK star Emerald and genre-defying Japanese DJ ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U will also perform. Two of Istanbul’s most influential underground names, Evrim de Evrim and Ece Özel, will play back-to-back, and Gaia Ekho will present a brand-new hybrid performance.

Rules

- The event gate opens at 18:00.

- Everyone entering the festival area, regardless of age, is required to have a ticket.

- The event is suitable for participants aged 18 and over. Audience under 18 years of age cannot attend the event.

- Ticket holders without ID/Driver's License/Passport will not be admitted to the event area.

- Bag and body checks will be conducted at the entrance to the festival area.

- Suitcases and large backpacks are not allowed into the festival area.

- Liquid, gel, perfume, deodorant, and vitamin substances carried in bags will not be allowed into the event area.

- As food and drink sales will be available at the festival, no outside food or beverages are allowed.

- The use of professional audio and visual equipment (video cameras and cameras) and selfie sticks is prohibited.

- Flammable and/or explosive liquids or gases, pepper spray, and the like are strictly prohibited in the festival area.

- No medications, whether boxed or open, are allowed into the festival area. Only prescription medications needed for use during the festival will be accepted in a designated area and allowed for use when necessary.

- Festival wristbands must always be worn. Do not remove your wristband under any circumstances during the festival. Daily ticket checks will be conducted. Do not lose your ticket.

- A ticket, together with the wristband provided, grants the holder entry to the festival area during designated hours. Losing the ticket and/or wristband, or removing the wristband from the wrist, results in loss of entry rights. Passo and the Organizer are not responsible for lost tickets and/or wristbands.

- Backpacks and large bags are not allowed in the event venues. Cloakroom service is available for such items.

- Fog effects will be used frequently during the events.

- The festival features high sound levels. Earplugs will be available at the festival area for guests with sensitivities.

- The event includes visual effects that may disturb individuals with photosensitive epilepsy.

- Responsibility for items not left in the cloakroom belongs to their owners.

- Smoking is strictly prohibited in indoor areas of the festival. Those who fail to comply will be removed from the festival area without warning, and their tickets will not be refunded.

- Participants have the right to leave the festival area once before 23:00. Guests leaving the festival area after 23:00 will not be readmitted on the same day.

- No refunds will be issued for tickets.

- Zorlu PSM reserves the right to change the conditions for purchasing discounted tickets.

- Zorlu PSM reserves the right to make changes to the event venue and schedule.

- Zorlu PSM reserves the right to refuse entry to individuals deemed unsuitable for the event, with a refund of the ticket price.

- The festival will take place under all weather conditions.

- By attending the event, participants consent to the use of video recordings of the event, which may include them as audience members, on online broadcast platforms. The organizer holds the rights to use these recordings.

- The festival will be held as a standing event.
