Intro

As part of the International Jazz Day Concerts supported by Garanti BBVA, Corto Alto, one of the key names in the UK's new wave of jazz, will take the stage at Frankhan on April 30, offering the audience a unique experience.

Corto Alto is a genre-blurring project led by Glasgow-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Liam Shortall. Blending jazz, hip-hop, electronic, and Latin influences, Corto Alto is known for its raw energy and innovative sound. Named after a trombone technique, the project reflects Shortall’s background as a trombonist, yet its music goes far beyond traditional jazz, combining live instrumentation with beat-driven production. With releases on labels such as Bridge The Gap and collaborations within the UK jazz and club scene, Corto Alto continues to push musical boundaries and make its mark on the international stage.

-The organisation and venue authorities have the right not to allow people they do not deem appropriate to the event and backstage area.
-Particular attention is paid to the balance in the number of men and women, attitude, style, clothing and general suitability, and entry may not be possible for these and similar reasons. This is entirely at the discretion of the door. The decision of our gate is final and valid under all circumstances.
-Purchased tickets cannot be refunded, cancelled or exchanged.
-The right to use the photographs and video footage of the participants in the event in promotional materials belongs to the organiser and the participant accepts the use of this right by participating in the event.
