Born in Siena, Italy, Alessandro Safina discovered his passion for music at a young age and trained at the prestigious Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence. After winning the Mantova International Vocal Competition in 1989, he debuted in Puccini’s La Bohème as Rodolfo — a role that launched his international operatic career.
Performing in major theatres across Europe, Safina became known for his powerful tenor voice and his ability to blend classical technique with contemporary emotion. Inspired by both opera and modern music icons, he pioneered a crossover style he calls “Opera-Rock,” creating a bridge between the world of symphony and popular sound.
His debut album Insieme a Te and the timeless single Luna brought him worldwide fame, reaching top charts across Europe and earning multiple Gold and Platinum awards. Since then, he has performed in over 40 countries, from the Barbican in London to Radio City Hall in New York, and collaborated with global stars such as Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli.
Throughout his career, Safina has been honored with numerous awards, including the Mario Lanza Trophy and the Murex D’Or for Best International Artist, recognizing his contribution to bringing Italian lyrical music to the world stage. His performances are celebrated for their emotional intensity, cinematic power, and elegant fusion of opera and contemporary pop.
Today, Alessandro Safina continues to captivate audiences around the globe with his voice that transcends genres — a rare artist who turns every concert into a poetic dialogue between passion, culture, and timeless music.
