ALTKAT the band was founded in Istanbul in 2020 by Alihan İsmailoğlu (vocals & guitar), Ali Ege Karaörs (lead guitar), and Hürkan Kurt (drums). Although the band itself is a recent formation, the musical bond between its members dates back to their middle school years. ALTKAT’s musical identity and style have evolved in a distinctive way since 2007.
Driven by the cycle of life, the connection they have shared since childhood, common dreams, and a deep passion for music, the members came together during the pandemic and formed ALTKAT the band. Introducing their sincere and original style through their debut single “Takılıyorum Ben,” the group hinted at the arrival of an exciting upcoming album.
Later expanding their lineup with Eren Karamanoğlu (keyboard) and Ahmet Hakan Tosunoğlu (bass guitar), ALTKAT released their debut album titled “Geç Olmadan” in August 2024. With their latest single “Yorma,” released in 2026, they also announced the beginning of a new album era.
Through heartfelt lyrics and memorable melodies, the band aims to share their emotions and lived experiences with listeners.
