Röyksopp

Röyksopp is a music group that emerged from Norway's cold climate but warms us with electronic vibes. Formed by Brundtland and Berge, the group entered the music world in 1998 and released their debut album Melody A.M. in 2001. The group's name, of course, is Norwegian. But what does it mean? Röyksopp refers to a type of mushroom that resembles brown dust. It's a small mushroom, and when you step on it, it goes "puff" and spreads its spores around. Well, you're stepping on that mushroom right now. Puff… The story behind the formation of the group is also quite interesting. Brundtland and Berge were actually school friends. However, for reasons unknown, they didn't decide to make music until years later, when they reunited. By the way, we know why they decided to make music years later. Let's share it with you… In 1998, while flying at low altitude over a snow-covered plain, the duo decided to form Röyksopp. We imagine they saw that mushroom during their flight and made their landing with a "puff" onto Röyksopp. And there you have it, a magnificent electronic music group. Scandinavia truly is full of surprises. Where were we? Yes, in 1998... Röyksopp was formed in 1998, and they released their first album *Melody A.M.* in 2001. Singles like "Eple," "Poor Leno," "Sparks," and "Remind Me" from this album managed to chart in the UK. They also gained attention with their experimental videos, taking this success to the 2002 MTV European Music Awards, where they won the "Best Video" award for the "Remind Me" music video. After that, Röyksopp continued to release performances, remixes, and albums, maintaining their success with contributions from guest vocalists. They contributed to the reshaping of electronic music and its reflection in modern times. All their music works were met with admiration. By 2010, they released their last album *Senior*, which was infused with darker elements. Songs like "The Fear" and "Tricky Two" stood out on the album. Even if electronic music isn't your preferred genre, Röyksopp's songs will draw you in. You might have found yourself swaying to their track in a venue or murmuring, "This song is really good." No matter what anyone says, Röyksopp, with their unique contribution to the music world, has helped electronic music be truly recognized and take shape. In short, they stepped on a small mushroom, spread its spores all over the world, and scattered the seeds of electronic music.
