Blending instrumental progressive rock and jazz fusion with a distinctive approach, The Aristocrats was formed in 2011 following a spontaneous performance at the NAMM Show. The group consists of guitarist Guthrie Govan, bassist Bryan Beller, and drummer Marco Minnemann.
After releasing their debut album in 2011, the trio further developed their style with works such as "Culture Clash" (2013) and "Tres Caballeros" (2015). Following an intensive touring period, they took a short hiatus and returned in 2019 with "You Know What...?". They later collaborated with a chamber orchestra, and in 2024 released "Duck", a concept-driven album.
The members have also worked with notable artists such as Steven Wilson, Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai. Combining technical skill, improvisation, and genre-blending, The Aristocrats stand out as one of today’s most distinctive instrumental rock acts.
