The 90s’ Sleeplessness Anthem Turns 30: Faithless Re-Crowns “Insomnia” Both Digitally and on Vinyl

Think of a song… The moment its first note hits, it instantly teleports you into the night. That’s exactly what Faithless’ “Insomnia” has been doing for 30 years.

90’ların Uykusuzluk Marşı 30 Yaşında: Faithless “Insomnia”yı Hem Dijitalde Hem Plakta Yeniden Taçlandırıyor

Imagine a song… The moment its very first note hits, it automatically teleports you into the night. Faithless – “Insomnia” has been doing exactly that for 30 years. A ’90s club anthem and one of the most iconic tracks in electronic music history is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and Faithless isn’t letting the birthday pass quietly.

On Friday, November 28, 2025, a special digital EP prepared for “Insomnia” is out on streaming platforms. Here’s the hook: those classic mixes that have been floating around separately for years are, for the first time, officially collected under one roof.
Versions on the EP:

  • Monster Mix

  • Moody Mix

  • Tuff Mix

  • Ana miks

  • Radyo mix

So all those legendary forms of “Insomnia” that conquered dance floors in different ways over the years are now in one place.

But Faithless isn’t stopping at digital. They’re also giving a nod to the “this is for collectors” crowd. The same day, as part of Record Store Day Black Friday 2025, a limited-edition zoetrope picture disc vinyl is being released. The record faithfully carries the original 1995 Cheeky Records artwork and tracklist. And thanks to the zoetrope printing, it creates an illusion of moving visuals while the record spins — totally display-worthy, the kind of thing you buy, frame, and hang.

The vinyl tracklist cranks the nostalgia up even more:
Side A: Monster Radio Edit / Original Radio Edit / Monster Mix
Side B: Moody Mix / Tuff Mix

A Modern 30th-Anniversary Salute from Disclosure

The celebration isn’t limited to Faithless. British electronic duo Disclosure revisited “Insomnia” with a “2025 Edit,” translating the track into today’s club/festival language. This rework boosts the energy without messing with the original spirit, bringing a more “of-now” sound. They kicked off the hype by playing it live at Glastonbury 2025, and the official release quickly became part of the 30th-anniversary atmosphere.

Faithless After Maxi Jazz: Legacy + A New Era

Following the legendary vocalist Maxi Jazz’s passing in 2022, Faithless is now steered by Sister Bliss and Rollo. The group is on the road with this year’s “Champion Sound” album, and the momentum is high. They’ve even teased the summer side of things already: two major open-air concerts are coming in summer 2026.
In short, Faithless is both celebrating its past and signing back onto the stage with a clear message: “we’re still here.”

“Insomnia” is 30 years old, but it still won’t let you sleep. And it looks like it won’t for a long time yet.
