The British shoegaze band Bdrmm is coming to the stage of Blind for their first-ever concert in Istanbul. Originally started as a bedroom project by lead vocalist Ryan Smith — hence the name — the British shoegaze band Bdrmm will take the stage at Blind on the night of September 28, 2025, with support from %100 Music, marking their debut performance in Istanbul. While the world was becoming socially distant due to the coronavirus in 2020, Bdrmm, a post-shoegaze, dream pop quartet from Hull known for their heavy guitar effects, made the kind of impact every young band dreams of with their debut album. Bedroom, released in July of the same year under the small label Sonic Cathedral, was hailed by Clash magazine as “a dizzying, forward-thinking distillation of shoegaze.” Mojo praised the group for “tapping into the spirit of bands like The Cure and Ride with true craftsmanship.” The Guardian called the album “one of lockdown’s underground hits,” while NME awarded it a solid five stars. Comprised of Ryan Smith, Jordan Smith, Joe Vickers, and Conor Murray, the band is set to release their third album, Microtonic, early next year and will perform in Istanbul as part of the album’s tour.
