Inspired by artists such as Depeche Mode, The Cure and Front 242, he developed a deep passion for electronic music at a young age. Today, through his MDR and Bad Manners labels, he continues to push the boundaries of techno and create space for new talents. A symbol of the Berlin and Berghain scene, Dettmann has had a profound impact on the electronic music world with two albums released on Ostgut Ton, along with countless singles and remixes. His collaborations with artists from various genres such as Junior Boys, Fever Ray and Moderat highlight his versatility. Beyond the club floor, he has also made a name for himself with interdisciplinary projects, including contemporary dance performances with the Staatsballett Berlin and sound design work for exhibitions by photographer Frederike von Rauch.
