DJ Pierre (Phuture, Trax, Strictly Ryhthm, US)

Renowned DJ Pierre (Nathaniel Pierre Jones) from Chicago, who is recognized as one of the creators of acid house and has mentored important figures in dance music such as Felix De Housecat and Roy Davis Jr., will be our guest at Kloster on July 8th. Dj Pierre made his debut in the music scene as a member of "Phuture," who recorded the first acid house track titled "Acid Trax" in 1987. "Acid Trax" became the talk of the music circles for days as the new sound of the Roland 303 Bass Machine. Thanks to Phuture's productions and their first single "Generate Power" in that year and the following few years, Dj Pierre became synonymous with the concept of "acid house," a new genre in electronic music. After the 1980s, Dj Pierre focused on his own productions and became the leading figure in "acid house" and "afro-acid" themed parties held in New York and worldwide, collaborating with names like P Diddy and Missy Elliot. One of İzmir's most skillful, DJ-Producer and Memoire Affective co-founder, Eren Eren will be supporting the night. 07.07.2023 🗓️ 21:00 ⏰ Kloster Alaçatı 📍
