Based in Los Angeles, musician and producer Mareux will take the stage at IF Performance Hall Beşiktaş on November 5. With his dark, romantic, and hypnotic atmosphere, Mareux has built a massive cult following around the world by blending coldwave, synth-pop, post-punk, and goth aesthetics with modern electronic textures. Especially with his viral 2021 rendition of The Perfect Girl, the artist made a major impact on the alternative music scene and is considered one of the key figures behind the resurgence of darkwave and post-punk among the new generation of listeners. Mareux’s music transports listeners into a nostalgic yet contemporary universe through layered synths, deep vocals, melancholic melodies, and dark rhythms made for the dancefloor. His debut album Lovers From the Past, released via Warner Records / Revolution Records, presents a cinematic narrative shaped around heartbreak, obsession, and the ghosts of past relationships.
