Beginning its journey from Al-Andalus in 1492 and reaching these lands, the Sephardic heritage—shaped over centuries by the diverse cultures of Istanbul, Anatolia, and the Mediterranean—is brought back to life through music, memory, and identity.
Inspired by his family’s cultural roots, migration stories, and the memories passed down through generations, Menachem 26 was born as a special musical project created by Hemi Behmoaras. Named after the year 1926, a significant milestone in his family history, the project reinterprets not only a personal story but also a rich, multilayered heritage carried from the past into the present through sound, rhythm, and contemporary electronic music.
Menachem’s Century is a special event conceived in honor of the 100th anniversary of this remarkable story, bringing past and present together on the same dance floor. Headlining the night is Space Motion, one of the leading names in the global melodic electronic music scene, joined by Sobek, whose distinctive atmosphere and deep sound will further shape the evening’s journey.
Spanning from Sephardic culture to the Mediterranean landscape, from family heritage to contemporary electronic music, this unique gathering stands as a meaningful celebration—rooted in the past while looking toward the present and the future.
