Modundayız Sunar: Gus Gus (Live)

GusGus (live) at %100 Studio on September 18! For nearly a quarter of a century, GusGus has been shaping the direction of the electronic music scene, standing out as one of Iceland’s most beloved and long-established electronic music acts. Beyond their unique musical mastery, the group has been active across various fields of creative production since its formation and, above all, deserves to be recognized as a multidisciplinary art collective. One of the defining elements that makes the story of GusGus so unique is their journey marked by disasters, last-minute cancellations, and dramatic turning points. These ups and downs, intertwined with unexpected career highs, have made them one of the most compelling and inspiring acts in electronic music history. Embracing the spirit of dark, smoky clubs that provide space for sonic experimentation and free expression, the iconic Icelandic collective moves between analog hardware and cosmic melodies, transforming the traditional conventions of electronic music and creating a hypnotic electronica language entirely their own. Known for their legendary live performances that are not to be missed, GusGus reshapes their tracks on stage, expanding and transforming their soundscapes uniquely for each show. As a result, every performance offers the audience a one-of-a-kind, almost “limited edition” experience that exists only in that moment. With a musical identity that moves freely across genres, the group has earned worldwide recognition by blending modern club culture with sounds that carry traces of the past. They have also made their mark with remixes for legendary artists such as Depeche Mode, Björk, and Sigur Rós. Today, led by Biggi Veira, Daníel Ágúst, and Margrét Rán, GusGus continues to open the door to a new chapter in their ever-evolving musical universe. Their latest work takes the distinctive GusGus sound into a new dimension with hybrid structures, powerful melodies, and influences drawn from the party and rave culture of the ’80s and ’90s.
