Entry Information
Rakim Under touches down in Istanbul for his debut Turkish debut. Growing up in Memphis and Spain, with Lebanese-Chilean roots, Rakim Under’s musical journey has been shaped by a deep connection to diverse cultures and sounds. Immersed in an eclectic range of influences from an early age, he developed an appreciation for music that goes past genres. Based in the UK for over a decade, he has spent many years honing his craft in London’s musical melting pot, where his obsession with production and digging continues to evolve. Rakim navigates between obscurities and dance floor jams. In his productions, his sound reflects the same curiosity and depth—connecting rhythm and emotion into evocative sonic worlds with a consistent nod to the 80s and 90s era. His radio mix shows can be heard on NTS Radio, Mudd Show, Radio Alhara and Planet Trip Recordings. He has releases on Make A Dance and Karnak On Acid.
