Intro
ECE ÖZELEce Özel's life has always been surrounded by music as a result of her father owning a bar. Her DJing career started as some kind of a battle of selections in 2009- selections of cosmic/synth disco, new wave, obscure house and techno. As time went by, her selections turned into more intimate mixes and brought her a residency at Istanbul’s Minimuzikhol. Having started playing abroad, Zurich became a second home to Ece. Recently she started a night called "Özel Zevkler" in home club Minimuzikhol, where she combines her special taste of post-punk & new wave styles to darker and mystical electronics and beyond.
ZOZO
As a music enthusiast and dedicated partygoer, Zozo (aka Nigar Zeynep) has been in the center of Istanbul dance music scene since the late 90’s. Being exposed to music and club culture for a long time, Dj’ing grew in her naturally. She started collecting and playing music in 2007. Her musical taste; a blend of funk, disco and some soul classics slowly involved into sequencer driven house, slo-mo techno, spacey electronics and naturally some oriental influences from her roots. She describes her genre; ‘oriental crime’, as a funny approach.
