Line Up: Crussen + Masomenos + Arapu + Noema!
Arapu:
Romanian techno dj Arapu cultivated his interest and passion for music at the age of 15, when he began to organise and dj at breakbeat and drum&bass parties for a group of people in town. Putting out records since 2011, he has received great applause by artists like Ricardo Villalobos, Rhadoo, Raresh, Valentino Kanzyani and many others. Along with Barac, Arapu is one of the pioneers of the second wave of Romanian techno, the reinvigorated version of the classic Romanian sound. His captivating basslines and driving synths generate his signature sound, carefully mixed at the right bpm to wake up the dancefloor.
Masomenos:
The so funky duo Masomenos created by Joan Costes and Adrien de Maublanc works together under the name of ‘Welcome to Masomenos’. Since 2007, they have released 4 albums, over 30 EPs and made lots of design collaborations in their own spontaneous, lighthearted, psychedelic ways. The audio-visual duo is not like your usual electronic duo we must say. There’s the WTM record label, the cartoon animal graphics, a boutique shop in Paris, and of course, their cute and colourful minimal house music. Maublanc handling most of the production and Costes being the DJ, they create their no limits universe!
Crussen:
Born on an icy cold but sunny February morning in Ystad, Sweden; Robbin van der Crussen a.k.a. Crussen got into the music scene playing the French horn in an orchestra and drumming in a hardcore punk band during his high school times. After two years of sound design studies in Oslo and multiple degrees in Popular Music and Record Production in the UK, Crussen was ready to be an international name. Swedish producer and DJ known for his energetic, good vibe-spreading Scandinavian folk and piano pieces all infused by his signature electronic soundscapes, infectious grooves. Crussen mostly spends his days producing music and running in the woods.
Noema:
Noema’s life is an unusual story. Soon after he was born in Europe; he was sent to rural Mongolia and was raised at a pet asylum by its founder and the guards. Spending his childhood listening to his guardians’ extensive collection of traditional Mongolian dance music, he acquired a deep knowledge of the intricate tonal qualities of the Yatga (classical Mongolian Zither) and of course the Ikh Khuur (Horse-Head Bass). At an early age Noema travelled to China and from there to Northern Romania; where he trained himself in graphology, chorology, phrenology, and astrology. Going back to Berlin, Noema returned to the dance music scene and quickly became a respected DJ in the local scene due to his technical skills, musical style, unusual outfits and masks. He has worked with names like Dixon, Apparat, Viken Arman and founded the famous The Magic Movement. Known for his sexy, deep and magical sound; he will kick off the night on the 28th!
