Biography

Founded in Istanbul in 1996, Vega is one of the most deep-rooted and characteristic bands in Turkish rock music. Combining the unique, breathy vocals and evocative lyrics of Deniz Özbey with the signature arrangements of Tuğrul Akyüz on guitar, the band has produced cult albums such as "Tamam Sustum", "Hafif Müzik", and "Tatlı Sert". By blending melancholy with modern rock sounds, they have succeeded in building a deep and loyal following within Turkey's alternative music scene through timeless songs that remain untouched by fleeting pop trends.
