Entry Information
South London keyboardist, producer, composer and bandleader Joe Armon-Jones is a founding member of Ezra Collective and an alumnus of the jazz education programme Tomorrow’s Warriors. Known for his musicianship and improvisational skills, he has become a sought-after figure across a wide range of musical projects.
Following two albums released on Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings, Armon-Jones founded his own label, Aquarii Records, in 2021. He has since collaborated on club-focused projects with dubstep pioneer Mala and his long-standing creative partner Maxwell Owin.
His biggest creative expansion to date came with All The Quiet, a two-album project released in 2025. Conceptually connected yet distinct in character, the two albums see Armon-Jones expand his musical universe into new sounds and forms of expression, joined by guests including Asheber, Greentea Peng, Wu Lu, Hak Baker and Yazmin Lacey.
Joe Armon-Jones will perform at Frankhan on September 26 as part of the 36th Akbank Jazz Festival.
