Entry Information
Her name may mean “different” in Turkish, but that energy defines everything about BASHKKA. From her fierce, sensual sets to her outspoken advocacy for cultural and decolonial progress in electronic music, she’s bringing fresh air to the scene.
Shaped by a decade in New York and the Black & Brown trans women who inspired her, BASHKKA carries the spirit of ballroom culture wherever she plays—from her Blitz Club residency to Berghain’s Panorama Bar. Her sets radiate raw, intoxicating energy that’s pure “CUNT.”
Beyond the decks, her activism and commitment to SWANA and queer representation continue to push the culture forward. Her 2023 debut EP captures that same fearless attitude and sharp technical edge.
