Modundayız Sunar: MorMor

Canadian artist MorMor, one of alternative music’s most distinctive voices, is set to make his Istanbul debut at Blind on February 4, with the support of Modundayız. Known for his melodic storytelling, distinctive vocals, and emotional depth, Canadian musician Seth Nyquist is preparing to deliver a special night for music lovers. MorMor, the musical project of Seth Nyquist, gained international attention with the release of “Heaven’s Only Wishful” in 2018. With its unique atmosphere and captivating melodies, the track earned praise from Max Martin’s MXM Music team and Stephen Malkmus, one of the founding members of Pavement. In 2022, MorMor released his debut album, Semblance, which he wrote and recorded during the pandemic. Blending different elements of alternative pop and indie music, MorMor’s sound stands out through his personal storytelling and distinctive vocal style. In this new chapter of his career, he embraces a more spontaneous, direct, and unfiltered creative approach, aiming to express his emotions more openly through his music. One of the standout releases from this new era, “Like Heaven,” features vocals from Mercury Prize-nominated British singer Celeste. Created at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La studio in Malibu, the track brings together the two artists’ voices in an exploration of hope and faith.
